Investing in our high streets and towns

In Kidsgrove, the £17.6 million Town Deal has refurbished and reopened Kidsgrove Sports Centre, brought a UK-leading pump track to Newchapel Rec and funded a 3G astro for the King’s School. Planning permission has been granted for the Kidsgrove town centre hub, bringing community facilities together, and Jonathan Gullis MP continues to work hard to ensure the parking and café upgrades are delivered at Kidsgrove Railway Station.

Jonathan secured a record £56 million from the Levelling Up Fund for Stoke-on-Trent, breathing new life into Tunstall old library and baths by redeveloping this stunning Victorian building into accommodation and a community space. The Good’s Yard next to Stoke Station is taking shape quickly, delivering 174 new apartments, a hotel, and leisure space.

In the mother town of Burslem, Jonathan has worked tirelessly to get funding for the 'three beasts' - namely the Wedgwood Institute, indoor market and Queen's Theatre, to bring them back to life. He has secured money from the Levelling Up Partnership fund that he is working hard to ensure is spent to regenerate Burslem.
