I spent nearly a decade as a teacher and passionately believe that education must be at the heart of our ambitious levelling up agenda. To truly unlock talent and spread opportunity fairly, every child and adult needs to be able to access the knowledge and skills they need to fulfil their potential.
Grammar schools allow bright children to make the most of their talents, especially those that come from disadvantaged backgrounds.
By spreading grammar schools more evenly around the country, we can make them deliver on their original purpose – improving social mobility and bringing opportunity to disadvantaged areas. We can give children the chance to stay local but go far.
I have started a campaign to have the ban on new grammar schools removed. You can read articles about my campaign by clicking the links to the following national newspapers:
I have also spoken about my campaign on GB News and Times Radio.
If you back my campaign to remove the ban on grammar schools, you can show your support below and I will keep you updated on my campaign.
