Jonathan lobbied tirelessly to secure £31.7 million which is being invested into better bus routes, cheaper fares and upgraded bus stops.
Residents in Norton, Ball Green and Smallthorne are benefitting from the number 8 bus now running on a Sunday, while the number 43 is also set to be extended to Sundays and bank holidays, serving Baddeley Green and Milton.
The 36/36A, connecting Tunstall, Burslem, Goldenhill and Kidsgrove has been extended into the later evenings, and a new 9A service will connect Mill Hill and Bradeley to Tunstall.
Sneyd Green will also get a new 19/19A service to the city centre.
In Kidsgrove parish, buses are back in Harriseahead and Mow Cop for the first time in years thanks to Jonathan's work to secure the new 95 service.
The government funding has also resulted in a new £3.50 a day flat fare, which alongside the government's £2 single fare cap is making catching the bus cheaper. Bus stops across the city are also being upgraded to improve accessibility.
