Yesterday, Jonathan Gullis MP was delighted to welcome Andy Dean and Heidi Evans from Tunstall-based travel agency, Oasis Travel to 10 Downing Street.
It was part of a special Number 10 Business Champions Reception which brought a wide range of local businesses from across the country together.
Oasis Travel were nominated by Jonathan personally having served the local community for forty years in Tunstall and beyond as a popular independent local travel agency.
The reception was attended by Chancellor of the Exchequer, Jeremy Hunt MP who addressed all businesses in attendance.
Commenting, Jonathan Gullis MP said:
“It was fantastic to have Andy and Heidi from Oasis Travel on Tower Square in Tunstall down at 10 Downing Street on Wednesday evening.
It is so important we celebrate our fantastic local independent businesses who are absolutely vital to our high streets and local economy here in Stoke-on-Trent North, Kidsgrove and Talke.
Oasis Travel are a shining example of what it means to be local. I’m so pleased they enjoyed the reception with the Chancellor.”
Commenting, Heidi Evans, Manager at Oasis Travel said:
“After being nominated for local business champion by MP Jonathan Gullis we were invited to attend a reception at Downing Street.
The reception itself was an honour to be a part of celebrating with other local business champions from all over the country. The reception was well organised where the Chancellor Jeremy Hunt addressed us all along with an official photo being taken with each local business champion.
For a small business that has suffered due to Covid and recovered, this has been an absolute privilege.”
