On Tuesday, I asked the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care a question about PPE in care homes and domiciliary care.
It was also a great opportunity to give Scrubs for Stoke and Haywood Academy a shout out for their tireless work to create gowns, visors and other pieces of essential PPE for University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust, Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and our local social care sector, across Stoke-on-Trent North, Kidsgrove ajd Talke.
Sadly technology failed me half way through my question but I was pleased enough was heard to be able to answer the question.
The exact question I asked was
“What steps are being taken to ensure that community staff in care homes and domiciliary care in particular, from Stoke-on-Trent North, Kidsgrove and Talke and across the country, are receiving the appropriate infection control training to ensure that they are able to make optimal use of PPE and minimise transfer of infection from one client to the next?”
