Today I asked the Home Secretary, Priti Patel, to help me and Cllr Dave Evans, by working with Matthew Ellis Police Crime Commissioner - Staffordshire
and Staffordshire Police
Chief Constable to stop the dangerous anti social behaviour of a few who are running natural beauty spors, like Ford Green Nature Reserve, and the football pitches of Kidsgrove Ladsandads at places like Birchenwood Country Park.
The Police have powers under Section 59 of the Police Reform Act 2002 which means vehicles can be seized if used in an anti-social manner.
Our community doesn’t deserve such places destroyed by a minority. I want to see Section 59 warning signs up on lampposts across Stoke-on-Trent, Kidsgrove and Talke, which can help in speeding up the seizure of illegal vehicle use, by having given advanced warning.
In Stoke-on-Trent, Cllr Dave Evans has started a petition on this issue which can be signed here
