Incredibly moving and powerful to see the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, and the Leader of the Opposition, Sir Keir Starmer, stand shoulder to remember the life of Sir David Amess MP.
Yesterday’s attack on democracy will not win. I will continue to love being with the people of Stoke-on-Trent North, Kidsgrove and Talke who I am so honoured to serve and live amongst.
I will continue my weekly street surgery’s, monthly park surgery’s/constituency office surgery’s, holding local competitions, running community litter picks, visit local businesses, schools, charities, religious venues of all faiths and the inspiring individuals who do incredible things that should rightly be recognised.
Parliament is very busy at present. For example I am on the Nationality & Borders Public Bill Committee every Tuesday and Thursday, as well as having to be in Westminster some Friday’s this winter due to Parliamentary business. This will mean I may not be out and about as much as I want to be in the coming weeks.
But I want to reassure you all that it has nothing to do with yesterday’s events. I will not be cowered!
I am sure that you will understand that my top priority is the safety and security of my family and staff.
Therefore, until further notice I will be suspending walk ins to the constituency office whilst I conduct a review of security with Staffordshire Police, to ensure my fantastic team are as safe as possible.

My team and I will help and support you in any way we can. If people want to come to the office, you can ring the bell and some initial details can be taken via a paper form.
I am so grateful since being elected in December 2019 that I have never been made to feel unsafe when out and about, and I am so thankful that the people of Stoke-on-Trent North, Kidsgrove and Talke have been so welcoming to me and my family
