I was over the moon to be informed today that Nicola Whiston from Ormiston Horizon Academy in Stoke-on-Trent North, is in the final 50 for the Global Teacher Prize 2020.
The Global Teacher Prize is a US $1million award, presented annually to an exceptional teacher who has made an outstanding contribution to the profession.
Im sure the Secretary of State for Education, Gavin Williamson, will join me in wishing Nicola every success. I look forward to meeting her in person and back in the classroom, in the not to distant future.
