Today my latest ‘Personally Speaking’ column was published on the Stoke on Trent Live page.
We have come so far, and I know how difficult, how worrying and how, at times, massively frustrating these restrictions have been but advancements are being made, things are improving, and we must simply persevere.
As the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, stated on his return to work, we are not out of the woods yet, but we are close, the trees are thinning, and we must endure the anxiety, frustration and isolation for just a little longer.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone across Stoke-on-Trent, Kidsgrove and Talke, especially those pursuing voluntary efforts in order to protect and provide for the most vulnerable among us. Your efforts have been noticed and appreciated.
We will get through this, we will once again rage at the tediousness of our morning commute; and we will never again take for granted the embrace of a loved-one.
