Jonathan has addressed Kidsgrove Town Council regarding the recent anti social behaviour (ASB) concerns of the public and the need for an upgrade to Kidsgrove town centre's CCTV.
Jonathan was pleased to report that Cllr Jill Waring, in her role at Newcastle Borough Council, had agreed to an online survey for Kidsgrove and Talke residents to submit their views and opinions on ASB. Jonathan asked the Town Council to support him in promoting the survey via their social media sites and any newsletters that are distributed.
Central to Jonathan's campaign is to have an upgrade to Kidsgrove’s CCTV. At the Town Council meeting Jonathan asked whether they would be willing to part fund this upgrade, along with Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council, and ensure it is linked into the Stoke-on-Trent control room.
The Clerk of the Town Council assured Jonathan that these items will be added to the agenda of the next meeting for discussion.
Commenting, Jonathan said:
"I was grateful to be thanked by Town Councillors for my efforts and hear we share similar aims and ides. Having the CCTV upgraded and plugged into the Stoke-on-Trent control room will mean that it can be monitored regularly and better assist out hardworking local Police Officers and PCSOs in their work.
"I hope that all Town Council will support me in these actions that should bring about improved community safety."
