Six lanes are now open on a clogged-up stretch of the A500 - after a £17.5 million carriageway widening project finished three months ahead of schedule.
The last line of cones were removed earlier this morning after 16-months of roadworks.
It also means that the 50mph speed limit - which used to start in Etruria - is now permanently extended as far as the Porthill junction.
Now all that remains is to complete outstanding landscaping works over the summer.
That includes an overnight closure of the southbound carriageway from 9pm on Friday, July 10 until 5am on Monday, July 13.
