Yesterday I joined a local Police Officer from Staffordshire Police for a walk around Kidsgrove and Talke, to hear about some of the challenges our local police face and issues encountered during COVID-19.
I am delighted to have our local police’s support for my plan to upgrade our CCTV.
It makes no sense that our brave officers have to access a local high street store in order to view CCTV, which is outdated and in some cases repositioning.
When the store in question is closed the police can’t access meaning in the evening and weekends, our police are restricted.
I will continue to lobby Kidsgrove Town Council to speed up and deliver the CCTV they promised to upgrade, following public support for my plan, in our Town Centre.
Locally crime hasn’t spiked in general although I raised me concerns over illegal off-road bike usage and the need to tackle county lines and ASB across Kidsgrove and Talke.
I want to thank our amazing local police for their hard work to protect and serve our local community.
