I've written to Cllr Carl Edwards as Cabinet Member for Environment on Stoke-on-Trent City Council asking the council to consider my proposals to introduce a bounty in exchange for information leading to the successful prosecution of the scumbags who fly-tip our streets.
I am disgusted to see the pictures of fly tipping across Stoke-on-Trent North, Kidsgrove and Talke, in particular Ford Green & Smallthorne, Goldenhill & Sandyford and Cobridge.
Human intelligence is vital if we are to take fly-tippers to the task and punish them for their despicable behaviour.
If you give intelligence that leads to a successful conviction against an individual who has fly tipped across Stoke-on-Trent North, Kidsgrove and Talke, I will give you £50 out of my own pocket.
I will do this for the first 10 successful convictions people bring to my attention and can provide proof their information led to the conviction.
Fly-tipping is not a victimless crime, it costs you and I money to clear up and has a damaging impact on those residents who live nearby.
